RESENSE – Additive manufacturing for the sustainable reshoring of intelligent sensing systems

EMC GEMS S.R.L. announces that it has been awarded a grant under Decree No. 13136/GRFVG of 16/03/2026, within the framework of the ERDF Regional Programme 2021–2027 – Intervention Type a1.1.1 – Incentives for companies for collaborative industrial research and experimental development activities – 2025 call. The grant was awarded for the implementation of the project “RESENSE – Additive manufacturing for the sustainable reshoring of intelligent sensing systems”, to be carried out at the company’s headquarters in Tavagnacco (UD) during the period from 09/03/2026 to 08/03/2027.

The initiative provides for eligible expenditure of €157,754.20 and a granted contribution of €77,804.16, broken down as follows: €31,121.66 funded by the European Union, €32,677.75 funded by the Italian State, and €14,004.75 funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Project objectives

The project represents an important opportunity for EMC Gems Srl to advance its research and development activities in intelligent sensing systems by leveraging additive manufacturing and innovative engineering approaches. The main objectives are to enable more sustainable, flexible, and localized production of advanced sensors, support the reshoring of strategic manufacturing capabilities, and foster the development of high-value technological solutions with strong industrial applicability and innovation potential.
