EMC Gems makes electromagnetic hardware design instant and generative. 

Our proprietary physics solvers simulate a thousand times faster than traditional tools — at the same accuracy — and directly generate and optimize the design of electromagnetic sensors and devices, from idea to manufacturable result in minutes. On the same technology we design custom inductive sensors and build digital twins for diagnostics and predictive maintenance. Founded in 2021 as a University of Udine spin-off, EMC Gems brings into industry years of computational-electromagnetics research carried out at the IMADELab laboratory: a solid scientific foundation put to work on concrete industrial problems.

Our most distinctive expertise is computational electromagnetics: the virtual prototyping of electromagnetic fields and devices. We have developed three validated proprietary solvers — static (electro- and magnetostatics), eddy current and full-wave RF — covering the full range of sensor and power-electronics problems. Their unique trait is speed at equal accuracy: it's not a faster approximation, it's the same physics solved with a different numerical method. No surrogate models, no AI shortcuts, no simplified physics. Our tools are also vertical — optimized for specific application families and customizable per client — and delivered as a cloud platform (SaaS) on proprietary infrastructure.

Prof. Ruben Specogna, Ph.D.

Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Udine and head of the IMADELab laboratory. PhD in computational electromagnetics, author of over 130 scientific publications and more than 10 patents — some developed with Google, Renesas Electronics and the Aviano Cancer Reference Center (CRO). He is the inventor of the proprietary solvers at the core of the EMC Gems platform.

Giulia Ferrario, LL.M.

Law graduate, she leads company management and business development: quotes, orders, license agreements and administration. She is the operational engine that turns technology into business.

Diego Masotti

Electronics engineer, architect of the EMC Gems simulation engine and co-developer of its proprietary solvers. He builds the technological core that makes the platform a thousand times faster than traditional tools, at the same accuracy.

Full-stack developer

Davide Donada

Cloud developer responsible for IT infrastructure. He develops the front-end and back-end of IPSMagic and designed the proprietary cloud infrastructure that powers the platform's SaaS model.

Mohamed Lakred

Cloud developer. He builds the front-end and back-end of MAGMagic and the sensor-control platform, plus the cloud infrastructure for collecting and processing smart-sensor data — the foundation of condition monitoring.

Firmware deveoper

Erlik Iustulin

Electronics graduate, he develops sensor firmware and the IoT applications that connect devices to the cloud platform.

Mechanical Engineer

Marco Gentile

He handles the mechanical design of custom sensors, their enclosures and CAD-geometry management in the cloud platform, as well as experimental sensor characterization.
